My name is Siobhan McCreesh, and I am a female student at the University of cape Town (UCT) doing my masters in psychology. I am running a study at the moment that looks at the relationship between sleep and memory in older females. There has been a lot of research that suggests that sleep plays a very important role in helping and maintaining healthy memory. I am looking for some female individuals (60-65 years of age) to partake in my study, which is being held at UCT.

Ladies who may be interested would need to come to the sleep laboratory for x3 nights and do some memory exercises. I can arrange transport and each participant will be paid R100.00 for each night they spend at the lab; so a total of R300.00 for participation throughout the study. The UCT sleep lab is a secure facility and has well-kept toilets. We have emergency contact numbers and security details for the campus.

Please let me know if anyone would be interested in partaking the study and I will send more information. The study will contribute to knowledge about memory throughout human development and shed light on the role that sleep plays in the formation of long-term memories, which can go a long way to adding knowledge to other diseases like dementia or Alzheimer’s.
