If you have always wanted to take to the ocean in a surfski, why not contact the experts at Varsity College Surfski School and allow them to show you the basics? Dawid and Nikki Mocke (both Surfski World title holders) and their team of experts run the school based at The Paddling Centre (Fish Hoek, Cape Town) and are passionate about sharing their love of the ocean and imparting their knowledge to beginners and the more experienced paddlers alike.
Every Saturday from September onwards join the dedicated team at the Fish Hoek Sailing Club between 08:00 and 11:00 where you can learn everything from how to find your balance, the correct stoke and of course how to catch the perfect wave. And for those that would prefer a private one-on-one lesson, Varsity College Surfski School is now also offering ‘by appointment only’ bookings during the week too. Lessons include the use of all paddling apparel.
