People Living with Cancer is a NPO which aims to provide psycho-social support to all South Africans who have been diagnosed and are living with cancer. A large component of the support programme revolves around the use of “cancer buddy’s” who are volunteer cancer survivors. These survivors have been trained in how to assist newly diagnosed patients and their families by using their experience in successfully coping with the disease.
