False Bay Volunteer Emergency Medical Services (FBVEMS) consists of medically trained emergency care practitioners who live in the community in which they serve. FBVEMS has its own ambulance and two emergency medical response vehicles. FBVEMS became necessary as the nearest ambulance was based in Retreat and the response times to FH were unacceptable.
