On Monday 23rd November, two local Toastmasters brought home another trophy to Two Oceans Toastmasters in Fish Hoek.  Francois Roux (Simonstown) and Jean Witte (Fish Hoek), placed 1st and 3rd respectively at an Annual Humour Hop About Contest held in Sea Point. The contest is open to all Toastmasters in the Western Cape and Francois and Jean shone on the night, both delivering hilarious 3 minutes speeches! Francois’ winning speech had the audience in stitches as recounted a recent experience in Las Vegas.  This is the second time the trophy has been brought back to Fish Hoek after Reto Camichel won it in 2013.

Two Oceans is a club that is no stranger to success, and Francois is also the current Western Cape Champion of prepared speaking. Two Oceans helps members hone their presenting skills, build their self confidence and grow in their personal and professional capacity. With the world in desperate need of some humour these days, Toastmasters is the perfect place to find a lighter side of life while also learning invaluable life skills.

Two Oceans meets on the first Wednesday of every month at the Minor Hall in the Fish Hoek Civic Centre at 7pm. Guests are welcome and can attend for free. For more please visit www.twooceanstoastmasters.co.za
