The three publications are:

Guide to the Wild Flowers of Silvermine  This booklet has photographs of 136 of the more common fynbos flowers to be seen in Silvermine, arranged in colour sequence for ease of identification. There is a centre page spread map of Silvermine and an alphabetical checklist of the 603 plant species that the Friends of the Silvermine Nature Area have found in Silvermine. Price: R70

Botanical names: What they mean

A dictionary revised and expanded in 2008 by Deon Kesting and Hugh Clarke, which includes the meaning of Latin and Greek plant names of Cape Peninsula Fynbos Families, Genera and Species and interesting historical and biographical information. Price: R70

 FloraDoc compact disc.

The photographers of FOSNA’s Flora Documentation Programme [FDP] have produced a compact disc “FloraDoc” which enables you to explore all the Fynbos flora of theCapePeninsula by Family, Genus, Species or Common Name.  Over 2300 species are described and over 1300 species are photographed [3500+ photos]. About the Friends of Silvermine Nature Area [FOSNA]

 This NGO was founded in the early 1990s to assist and support the staff of the Silvermine Section of the Table Mountain Chain in their various conservation efforts, and it continues to do so to this day.
