Alan Ayckbourn’s
Henceforward…
Opening on Friday 1 November, is Alan Ayckbourn’s clever, dark comedy “Henceforward…”. This is a rich, touching and amusing entertainment. It features sci-fi/fantasy elements in which an android plays a poignant part.
Jerome is a middle-aged composer living alone and struggling with a writer’s block. He is desperate to prove to his estranged wife that he deserves to have access to his daughter. He hatches a plot to achieve this, but everything goes awry. The more frantically he struggles, the more absurd the situation becomes – and the funnier!
”Henceforward…” by Alan Ayckbourn is directed by Wendy Goddard for Claremont Dramatic Society
