WINTER HOLIDAY PROGRAMMEWe have planned a whopping  from 22 June to 14 July 2013, which we know you will enjoy.

 

Look forward to Winter Science Camps (see details below), science theatre – Operation Climate Control, a skin workshop for Moms, our fabulous Science Shows, an array of demonstrations such as dissections, electrostatics and others and of course a wide selection of hands-on workshops. We welcome Planx, Walltrax, GoPro (those cool cameras), Edutrade and other holiday partners who will be adding to an already superb programme.

 

Robotics really takes off this year with a Walk-In Robotics centre operated by ORT SA Cape, running workshops for children aged 6 to 18 every day! SoundHouse will be making music again with a selection of technology-based music workshops for total beginners to the more musically skilled.

 

With active minds and busy bodies to contend with, not to mention tight budgets at the forefront of our minds, the CTSC has teamed up with *Acrobranch based at Constantia Nek to offer a DOUBLE DEAL – R125 will ensure an entry to the CTSC and Acrobranch, valid from 22 June to 15 September 2013.

*Acrobranch (www.acrobranch.co.za) provides exciting aerial adventures where zip lines, tarzan swings, nets, bridges and other fun obstacles take children and adults from tree to tree.

The Cape Town Science Centre, a social enterprise, operates under the auspices of the Interactive Science Foundation, a registered Non Profit Company (-NPO), registered as a Public Benefit Organisation in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act of South African (PBO: 18/11/12/2663). The Interactive Science Foundation will issue a tax certificate for any donation over R100. You will then be able to claim a portion of this donation back with your South African tax return.

WINTER SCIENCE CAMPSBack by popular demand, the CTSC reintroduces holiday science camps. Children aged 6 to 10 can sign up for a four morning camp (Monday to Thursday) of facilitated activities and workshops. Only two camps will be offered and numbers are limited to 20 per Camp, so don’t delay sign-up today!

 

A Campers’ Reunion for both camps will take place on Thursday evening, 11 July at 18:30. Parents and siblings are welcome to join the festivities – the CTSC staff have a surprise planned for you!
