ImproGuise, players of Cape Town’s longest running, award-winning and most popular live show, TheatreSports, announces a line up of hilarious themed shows at Kalk Bay Theatre.
Following on from the wild success of events such as their Improv Festival and twelve-hour soapathon, each week their Tuesday night show will tie in with a monthly theme.
“We had such a great response to evenings such as our Wednesday Westerns and Thursdays at Thorton Hall, that we decided to make themed shows a regular event,” says Ryan Jales, marketing coordinator for ImproGuise. “Each theme will culminate on the last Tuesday of the month, with a long form show, such as Chekhov’s women for August’s Women’s Month.
“In keeping with our TheatreSports style, we will be inviting audiences to submit their contributions. For Women’s Month, we are calling for people to send in names of famous, impressive women. The best suggestions win tickets to see a show in which their woman will appear as a character.”
TheatreSports is the high-octane, laugh a minute and entirely improvised show, where the audience decides what they’re going to see. No two shows are ever the same as the quick-thinking, sharp-witted and absurdly talented team make it up as they go.
Each month TheatreSports will be announcing their new theme – follow them on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news and exciting offers.
Don’t miss the long-form show for Women’s Month – Chekhov’s women, on Tuesday 27August.
