Fish Hoek Valley Historical Association is hosting, with the permission of TMNP, an educational guided walk to Peers and Tunnel Caves on the morning of Thursday 8 May 2014. The walk will be followed by a talk in the evening by archaeologist, Jayson Orton.

 

Venues: For the walk, meet at the Fish Hoek sports field. For the talk: Fish Hoek Library Hall.

 

Date: Thursday 8 May 2014.

 

Times: Walk – 06h30 for 07h00 til 10h00. Talk: 17h30 for 18h00 til 17h00.

 

Catering: Courtesy the Blue Gecko Restaurant.

Cost: Members – R5-00 per event. Non members – R10-00 per event.

Walk Degree Of Difficulty: The walk crosses a few sandy stretches and there is one very steep incline up a sand dune. If you have a bad back or troublesome knees, this event is not recommended.

 

First Aid: A medic will accompany the group.

 

Car Guard: A car guard will be hired to watch over cars.
