Food and wine pairing –South African Cape Cuisine will be paired with wine from Altydgedacht estate; the evening will be hosted by the multi-talented Winemaker Etienne Louw, who will also be entertaining the guests with his guitar playing.
The Cafe will be closed during the day on 7 October for the set up of this event.

The Antonia Labia Design Award

The Antonia Labia Design Award for 2013 went to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology Design Student Carmen Collocott and an exhibition of her work will be presented in the Casbah Design Boutique for the entire week of the festival.

Beyond the Beach

This project focuses on Muizenberg and its neighbouring False Bay environments. Participating photographers are: Sean Wilson, Rodger Bosch, Sandy Worm, Robert Hamblin, Jenny Altschuler, Paul Weinberg, including an installation by Glen Thompson and is curated by Paul Weinberg. The exhibition is an official participant of the Cape Town World Design Capital program, Month of Photography (M.O.P.6) and the Muizenberg Festival. Each photographer will speak about their work (10 minutes per photographer – 60 minutes) followed by a half hour open forum for questions and discussion facilitated by Paul Weinberg; this forms part of a HUMA sponsored event called Cape Town Commons.
