Senior Manager in the office of the Group Executive, Generation Division, at Eskom,
to present a clearer picture of how our electricity supply works and is managed.
  What happens to electricity demand during the day, how and why does it build up and peak at 6pm? Anthony Stott will explain how Eskom meets that demand, and what role the
coal-fired power stations, Koeberg and the other technologies play in meeting the demand.
In addition, he will discuss the status of nuclear energy in SA.
As threats of rolling blackouts continue, this is the perfect opportunity to gain an understanding of the complexities of electricity supply, and to have your questions in this respect answered.
As part of Kalk Bay Books’s winter events programme, an entry fee of R60 per person will apply.
