Opening at the Masque Theatre, Muizenberg, on Friday 20 September is the intriguing, contemporary play A Handful of Friends by David Williamson. This is a cleverly written study of five professional men and women where self-seeking can hide beneath the most cultured surface.
The five university friends meet up again some years after completing their studies. In the interim one of them has made a film cruelly satirising one of the group. This opens a can of worms. The reaction of the others to this betrayal leads to total breakdown of their friendships and lives.
Award winning director Sue Bolton directs this true-to-life drama/comedy for the Constantiaberg Theatre Players. She has chosen five young actors to bring this multi-layered play to vivid life.
A Handful of Friends by David Williamson opens at the Masque Theatre, Muizenberg, on Friday 20 September and runs until Saturday 28 September, excluding Monday to Wednesday.
Tickets for weeknights and matinees R65.00 (Theatre Club members R55.00), Friday and Saturday nights R70.00 (Theatre Club Members R60.00). Students and scholars R45.00. BOOK NOW on or
