This film festival of 14 films including Tibetan Buddhism, Zen and Theravada, was sourced from all over the world and span many centuries. Buddhism does not teach history but rather uses symbols, metaphors and parables reflected in the incredible true lives of the characters. The golden thread that runs through each story reflects the two wings of Buddhism: compassion and wisdom – how to live with an open heart and mind with the awareness of the interdependence of all beings and phenomena.
