The Casa Labia Cultural Centre Artreach program
presents a solo exhibition by Cape Peninsula born and bred artist Gerald Tabata.
Tabata’s history places him firmly within the framework of his artworks speaking to place, time and social politics. Whether waiting for a taxi, walking down the street, friends performing an impromptu hair-dressing service, or waiting for the world to turn, Tabata captures the life that surrounds him in the Cape Flat’s townships where his studio is based.
The Exhibition opening will be held on the 4th of August from 14h00 to 16h00.
