Mary Honeybun who collects bread tags from around the country for the initiative to provide wheelchairs for people in need has just reached a tally of 385 wheelchairs and walking frames for people with a range of physical challenges.

The 385 `chair’ was actually a special buggy for a young child who lives in Vredendal and was born blind and partially paralyzed.

The steady stream of breadtags from hundreds of people across the country is resulting in people – young and old – being given the equipment to keep them as mobile and as independent as their conditions will allow.
