Extreme adventurer, conservationist and 50/50 presenter, Braam Malherbe, will be speaking at WESSA´s special 85th Anniversary Celebration at Kirstenbosch´s Silver Tree Restaurant on Thursday 18 August from 6 to 9.30pm.  The talk entitled “Re-connect with the wilderness, both without and within” is guaranteed to inspire.  The event will also feature an exhibition and sale of prints by local wildlife pencil artist Bowen Boshier, making this an excellent opportunity to acquire some exquisite art and to support rhino conservation work at the same time, as the artist will be donating 50% of the sale proceeds to WESSA´s Rhino Fund.   Also included on the programme for the evening is an abridged WESSA Regional AGM and presentation of the 2011 WESSA Regional Awards, which recognise individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to environmental conservation or education in the Western Cape over the past year.  All welcome.  Non members:
R120 donation (includes a light finger dinner and Vondeling wines.

Please RSVP to Sandy: 021 701 1397 or admin@wessa.co.za by Monday 15 August at the latest.
