Pierre Malherbe’s hilarious, non-musical tribute to music, Another Friggin’ Tribute Show, comes to Kalk Bay Theatre from 24 October to 3 November.

Directed by Vincent Meyburgh, Another Friggin’ Tribute Show is a stand-up comedy about the bands, artists and musically-related experiences that have shaped and influenced Malherbe’s  life from his earliest recollections.

Journey with him from his love of Engelbert Humperdink  and David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust period at the age of four;  through his angsty teenage addiction to  The Smiths and Pink Floyd’s The Wall; to his total indifference to Prime Circle and beyond; including some of the pretentious musicians, useless radio dj’s, snobbish music fans, psychotic record store employees and archaic taping methods he’s come across along the way.

He might too, attempt to answer some age old questions like:

Is there really any difference between a rave and a trance party?

Where did theSpringbok Nude Girls really get their name from?

Are drummers musicians?

Press comments following its première last year included ‘…very funny.  Very’ (Megan’s Head); ‘great for music lovers’ (Yoursoapbox) and ‘witty observations……….his ( Leonard Cohen) impersonation left me in stitches’ (Cape Argus).
