COMEDY-THRILLER AT THE MASQUE
This play has been called a farce, a black comedy, a macabre comedy. No matter the description, it is extremely funny and was turned into a famous film starring Cary Grant. Since it was first produced in 1941, it has constantly appeared on a stage somewhere.
It is set in Brooklyn, New York, in the house of the eccentric Brewster family. A body is discovered in a window seat and thereafter the plot thickens.
The large cast includes well-known faces Helen Mathers, Sandy Gee, Alastair Duff, John McConnell and Aubrey Hindle, to name but a few! Jane Philbrick directs for the Fish Hoek Dramatic Society.
