Quality Education for all children in South Africa by 2022!

As you know, we now have 89 business leaders working with 89 school principals across South Africa. The objective of these partnerships is to lead change at these 89 schools. For more about this initiative, please see www.QE4SA.org.

The Principals and Partners of one of our Leadership Circles in Cape Town are arranging an information sharing morning on career options for the Grade 9 and 12 learners from the high schools in the Retreat, Steenberg & Lavender Hill areas.  Participating schools are:  Heathfield, Lavender Hill and Steenberg and invitations have been extended to Crestway and Sibelius.

The purpose of this get together is to create an opportunity for the learners to interact with adults who have jobs and live economically sustainable lives. We want to inspire them as they either have to decide on their subject choices (grade 9’s) or have to start thinking of life beyond the school desk (grade 12’s).

We are now looking for adults who would be willing to come and spend about 3 hours with these amazing young people on the morning of Saturday 2nd March (10h00 – 13h00) at Steenberg High in Symphony Avenue, Steenberg.

Please let Kerrie (kerrie@symphonia.net) know if you are able to assist. Please RSVP by 27th February with your full name and Career.

We have done a few of these kind of events at other schools in our programme and we are always curious to see that the adults leave the session as inspired as the learners. If you want to be inspired by the next generation of leaders in South Africa, please join us!

Please feel free to forward this message to other adults in your network who may be interested to be part of this event. It is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired.

Warm regards

Louise van Rhyn
