Holiday Magic at the Masque
Aladdin the pantomime supports Little Angels www.littleangels.co.za
The Constantiaberg Theatre Players welcomes the holidays with Ben Crocker’s new version of the pantomime “Aladdin”. Director Di Thom met with the playwright in the United Kingdom and they have been in correspondence ever since.
This particular production of “Aladdin” takes place in Peking and the Chinese influence makes it amusing and different. Delightful animal characters and a cast of 30 are sure to bring joy and laughter during the summer holidays.
The choreography by Angela Lee-Wright and the musical direction by Wendy Thompson and Ryan Mitchley add to the fun and surprises.
Tickets are R75 (Masque Theatre Club Members enjoy a R10 discount), Students and children – R45. Shows start on Friday December 07 and run until Saturday December 22 (excluding Sunday to Wednesday). Weeknights are at 8pm and Saturdays at 2.30 and 6.30pm. To book phone 021 788 1898 (o/h) or email – firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a real family pantomime and it is appropriate therefore that a percentage of the takings for the run of “Aladdin” will be for Little Angels. This charity cares for babies and children and relies on the generosity of the public for donations in order to raise sufficient funds for day to day running costs.
