The Outspan To Poespaskraal – An Amble Along Historical Kommetjie Road
The next Fish Hoek Historical Association’s monthly talk will be on Thursday 12 April 2012 at 17h30 for 18h00 at the Calders Hotel and Conference Centre, Recreation Road, Fish Hoek.
Jean Newport and Alan Lindner will team up to present “The Outspan To Poespaskraal – An Amble Along Historical Kommetjie Road”. The presentation is based on a chapter of the book “The History of Fish Hoek Valley” authored by the late Malcolm Cobern combined with snippets from Derek Stuart-Findlay’s talk titled “Die Oukaapsepad”.
Any descendants or friends of people who were once or may still be connected to this important artery are invited to contribute anecdotes and photographs etc via Jean Newport at the Fish Hoek Valley Museum.
There will be sponsored tea/coffee and treats on arrival and after the talk.
