Here is a touching local tribute. At the year-end function of the Quarrymen (the Scenic South Peninsula’s favourite male voice choir) John Newton presented the choir’s musical director, Winsome Fourie, with a charming replica of the Quarrymen in concert, as a token of appreciation for her musical efforts. John, an avid Quarryman and architect to boot, crafted the delightful model of the Quarrymen from sticks, wooden blocks and eucalyptus tree seed pods. Here is an enchanting giftthat will be treasured long after the festive season.
