Whale calf feeding

One cannot resist the impulse to pull over onto the side of the road to watch the Southern Right Whales visiting our False Bay coastline in their numbers, many groups lolling around close in to shore while some further out evoke the inevitable oohs and aahs as they launch their massive bodies out of the water while breaching. The water has been crystal clear for several months now, making whale viewing even more exciting. These photos were take off St James on Friday 23 Sept 2011 by Willie Ingpen of Fish Hoek.
