At the 2009 Cape Amateur Theatre Awards evening held recently at the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg, Lynn was awarded The Fiona Chisholm Cup for Best Cameo role in the production ‘HMS Pinafore – The Musical’. Her daughter Jennifer and Christine Thonissen received Certificates of Excellence as the Best Musical Ensemble as the Porter sisters, while Jennifer also received a Certificate of Excellence for her multiple roles and dance in the production, ‘Christmas Carol’,
