Our champion long-distance swimmer Liz Webb from Simon’s Town, who recently accompanied a fellow swimmer on his English Channel crossing, swimming half the distance with him, is currently on an epic adventure on the Breede.
Together with Craig Torr and Richard Willmore, they are swimming the Breede River from source (Ceres) to sea (Cape Infanta), a total distance of 300kms. This has never been done before.
The mouth of the Breede will be reached this weekend, the swimmers having swum an average of 15kms a day for three weeks. We look forward to featuring a story from Liz when she returns. In the meantime you can follow their progress on http://source2sea.net/
Liz was one of the first people that we featured on http://scenicsouth.co.za//showcasing/our-achievers/
