The South African Navy once again opens its doors to the estimated 120 000 visitors to come and be part of this fun-filled annual festival taking place in SIMON”S TOWN ARMSCOR DOCKYARD over the period of 22-24 April 2016 from 9h00 to 18h00 and the entrance is FREE FOR ALL.

This opportunity affords the South African public including schools and tourist to explore SA Navy’s equipment and facilities in depth. During the 3 days festival there will be loads to see and do activies for both young and old.




Attractions will include the opening of Ships and Submarines for the public. There will be exhibitions from South African National Defence Force (SANDF), Corporate Companies and Non-profit organisations. There will be various displays (educational & Entertainment) such as; Precision Drills, Fire Fighting, Dog Show, Gun Run, Navy Band Music and Choir, Airshow with Air Force Helicopters, Special Force displays, Anti- Piracy displays by the Maritime Reaction Squadron (MRS).

People will enjoy relaxing at the Tea Garden, schools are invited for sponsored competition and there’s a kiddies play area. And overarching to all these, will be over 80 of food stalls selling variety of delectable food as well as arts and craft.
