Building materials for Soil for Life training facility

Soil for Life makes Growing food, Growing people and Growing communities its core business. They are building a new training facility and inviting concerned citizens and Soil for Life friends to join the adventure and to sponsor building material. A 'Building Registry' has been set up at Somerset Timbers. Even if you can only afford to donate one item, it would be a step towards completion of the training facility, the sustainability of Soil for Life and food security for the poorer members of our society.

Support for School Feeding Schemes in Masi

In spite of many organisations working together to ensure that children in Masiphumelele are not hungry at school, the need is still great. This year, Work for Love, a NPO which operates in Masiphumele is asking a few schools to adopt Ukhanyo Primary and Masiphumelele High and once a week to collect fresh fruit, which Working For Love would then drop off at the two Masi schools. Any school willing to contribute to this programme, please contact us. Work for Love is also looking for more volunteers and recommend helping out in Masi as particularly rewarding because of the supportive environment where the different organisations work well together.
