Zizamele Ceramics has moved to a new shop in the Courtyard of Imhoff Farm where it is open 7 days a week. Owned and founded by Noordhoek artist Toni Burton in 2008, Zizamele Ceramics “is an SMME that trains previously unemployed (and often previously destitute) artists in ceramic creation, life skills and business management.” It received the Runner-Up Award in the Small Business Awards by Primedia and Softline

Zizamele ceramics are sought after world wide. There are two ranges, the Zizamele range and the Protect Us range, which aims to create awareness around the endangered animals of South Africa.

The Zizamele range of ceramicsThe artists run demonstrations over weekends. “And over the Easter weekends, children may play with clay or even take a turn on the pottery wheel.

From June onwards we will be holding ceramic painting classes at the shop and doing teambuilding events in clay,” says Toni.
