Fish Hoek vehicle licensing & driver’s test center opens in September

At last people living in the Scenic South Peninsula won’t have to drive over the mountain to take their learners and driver’s tests or to relicense their vehicles.  The new facility at the Fish Hoek Civic Centre will open officially on 22 September 2010.

Also useful is the new motor vehicle registration and licensing site provided by the City at www.capetown.gov.za/vehiclelicensing

According to the City: “The new site provides useful information for motorists and businesses with vehicles registered by the City. It features a list of Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing(MVR) offices, a handy ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section and an online vehicle license payment facility”.

The license payment facility allows residents to register online at www.capetown.gov.za/vehiclelicensing an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and avoids the need to wait in queues at City cash offices.   Once the EFT payment has been received, the City will post the license within 5 working days.  For further information call 0860 103 089.
