From small beginnings at the Kalk Bay Harbour, the 27th Kalk Bay Fish Fare has now progressed to a major southern suburb event.

This year, it is being held on Saturday 2 March from 10.30am to 6.00pm on the beautiful grounds of Holy Trinity church, which is at 42 Main Road Kalk Bay..   This is the 27th Fish Fare and is becoming part of the entertainment calendar in Cape Town.

Kalk Bay Fish Fare 2 March 2013Entrance is R5 per person, which includes a free raffle ticket.  Raffles will be drawn every hour, and there are great prizes on offer.  There will be loads of things for the kids to do: we have the magic man entertaining us,  a jumping castle, balloon man, face paint, tattoos, Tombola stall…..

For the adults, karaoke, beer garden and a variety of marimba bands will be playing throughout the day.  There will be loads of stalls, from braaied yellow tail, crayfish curry, seafood pasta, fish and chips, fish cakes, deli stall, sushi, to tea and cakes, puddings, ice creams and more.

Also, for the browser, a flea market, white elephant, and book stall.   So, come dine in the Cape Tradition in the gardens with the beautiful setting, a sea facing view to the front and the mountains to the back.  Despite the roadworks, there will be parking available in and around Kalk Bay, or take the train from Muizenberg to Kalk Bay station, and then a short walk to the grounds.
