This Thursday 14th February, people of the south peninsula are invited to take part in the global One Billion Rising initiative against violence against women and children at the following events. Take a stand and STRIKE! DANCE! RISE!
OBR Flashmob – Blue Route Mall 12.30pm
Wear pink or red and be at bottom of escalators by Ackermans by 12.30. When the sculpture is placed on the ground, count to 30 in your head then gather in a SILENT protective circle around it. A poem will be recited. The end will be signalled by the poets starting to leave the circle. Please also leave the area entirely, do not talk with friends or giggle – it is really important for the power of the flash.
