To the Principle of Fish Hoek High School-

The Green Guerrillas have planted a big “G” out of Tagetes patula on your North facing embankment-this is to prepare you for the sporadic guerrilla gardening offensive about to take place on your campus.

We hold the true vision, it is whole and it is strong.  Ours is not a counter-vision; we cannot be matched or overshadowed-expect explosions of colour-together we will prevail through small groups and individuals by planting food on your doorstep-

General/Green Guerrillas.

Ed’s comment: Tagetes patula is the French Marigold, a member of the daisy family. In parts of the world  the dried flower petals are used as a spice, the entire plant is harvested to produce essential oils and it is also used in companion planting to ward off nematodes and other bugs. The brilliant orange flowers are used in food and textile dyes.
