In the spirit of building a community of science teachers, the Cape Town Science Centre is offering any teacher that attends a Teacher Enrichment Workshop or visits with a school group an annual CTSC Teachers Pass, allowing unlimited access to the CTSC for the year!

This workshop is in line with CAPS and suitable for Grade 8 and 9 teachers, but other teachers are welcome to attend. Limited to 50 teachers, booking essential for catering purposes.

Teacher Enrichment Workshop with visiting Science ShowOffs – Dr Graham Walker – 19 March 2014  

Dr Graham Walker has been performing science shows for the past 13 years and is one of only two people in the world with a PhD in science show performance. His unique brand of high-energy delivery and amazing science regularly thrills audiences around the world.

Teachers are invited to start the afternoon off with light refreshments before Graham conducts a workshop that will help teachers bring science alive in the classroom. This workshop is relevant to upper primary and lower secondary teachers, though it will be a useful workshop for teachers at most levels. Booklets will be provided for teachers to take home. This is open to teachers only and booking is essential as numbers are limited.
