Dancing in Other Words/Die Dansende Digterfees is an international poetry festival, curated by Breyten Breytenbach that will take place at Spier’s Manor House and Old Wine Cellar on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 May 2013.
Eleven internationally renowned poets will gather at Spier to explore poetry’s age-old function as “the dreaming vein in the body of society.” The group includes Nobel Prize frontrunner Ko Un, political dissidents, activists and award-winning literary figures from South Africa, the Republic of Korea, China, the USA, Germany, Holland, Slovania and Israel.
Dancing in other words is presented by Spier in partnership with the Pirogue Collective, of which Breytenbach is a founding member. Tickets are R150 per person per night, including wine and snacks. Book at Spier, 021 809 1100, during office hours, Monday to Friday, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, visit www.dancinginotherwords.co.za .
