One cannot help but enjoy the antics of young baboons and appreciate their familial behaviour. These baboons are members of one of the two Tokai troops which are a delight to see in their natural habitat in and around Tokai forest.
After a walk in the forest we met up with some of the baboon monitors as they were going off duty and commented on the docility of the older baboons. They agreed the baboons were indeed very unthreatening although we could see that the younger ones are quite skittish. They added that the populations were healthy with one troop having about 60 members and the other 20.
